Security & Data Handling

Share less publicly. Transfer records deliberately.

The ClearPath website collects high-level assessment information only. Financial records, credentials, and employee data are not accepted through the public form, and ordinary email is not treated as an approved record-transfer channel.

01

Minimum necessary intake

The public assessment asks for contact, business, system, period, urgency, and a high-level problem description—not source documents.

02

Access without shared credentials

Where a platform supports invited or role-based access, that approach is preferred over sending a reusable password.

03

Retention must be defined

Project records, access, retention, and deletion expectations should be confirmed in the engagement and transfer process rather than assumed from this page.

Public-form boundary

Do not put sensitive data into the assessment.

List record types at a high level. ClearPath will identify what is relevant if the request advances.

Passwords, passcodes, or authentication codes

Taxpayer or Social Security numbers

Bank, card, loan, or payroll account numbers

Bank statements, tax returns, payroll reports, or notices

Employee or contractor personal information

QuickBooks backups, exports, or source documents

If the request may be a fit

Transfer and access are discussed before use.

Confirm the systems and record types relevant to scope

Select a transfer method appropriate to the information involved

Use invited or role-based access where available

Limit requested material to the covered accounts and periods

Confirm who should have access and when access should end

Document project-specific retention or return expectations

Current website implementation

There is no public document-upload portal.

The launch website persists assessment submissions to its database, sends the lead to the monitored business inbox through a transactional email provider, and issues an operational owner alert. It does not invite visitors to upload books, statements, payroll files, or tax records.

Before sensitive transfer
  • Confirm the method with ClearPath.
  • Verify the recipient and destination.
  • Do not send credentials or one-time codes.
  • Report a suspected misdelivery promptly by phone.

Questions and incidents

Pause before sending if anything is unclear.

For questions about an intended transfer, a suspected misdirected message, access that should be removed, or a privacy request, contact ClearPath Rescue directly.

This page describes the website’s current high-level operating position. Final production security, retention, incident-response, and legal language require owner and qualified-review approval before launch.

A safer first step

Describe the issue without transmitting the records.
